The weather was perfect (if a little too warm for late October), the music was made to get the crowd moving, and the 5K walk was a smashing success. It was all part of the Zina Garrison Tennis Academy’s Fun Day in the Park, and the Brothers Produce truck was parked front and center at the event on Saturday at Houston’s MacGregor Park.
The Brothers Produce team supported the Zina Garrison Academy’s Fun Day in MacGregor Park by providing apples, oranges and other fruit to event attendees.
Zina Garrison, a former professional tennis player, founded the academy, which has its headquarters at the Houston park, in 1992, and its educational and tennis programs have reached thousands of children since then. It is a great organization, and Brothers Produce is proud to partner with it.
The Fun Day attracted several hundred people to the park, and physical fitness was, fittingly, a focal point. Instructors led exercise classes, and there were also barbecue and wares made by local artists and craftspeople.
Men, women, and children of all ages participated in the walk and other activities, and the park was full of laughter and conversation.
